E-tek Rods & Restorations: Always lots going on!

While I havent been posting as much as usual - it's certainly not due to a lack of activity! With the near-completion of the 1968 Cruiser Camaro and the taking in of both the 1964 Mercury Comet Caliente as well as the 1966 IH (International Harvester) 4x4 Pickup, the shop has been busy, cars have been moving in and out and I've been running around to one of my favourite upholstery shops (www.braithwaitesupholstery.ca) and shopping for last-minute parts. As well, this transition gives me a bit of time to work on a couple of my own projects - which brings me to today:

The spark plugs wires on my 68 Galaxie had seen better days...so they got upgrades to new Accell units:

When I went to pull the old girl (Gal) out of storage the pedal went to the floor, necessitating a $80.00 towing charge.....

And a $141.00 Master Cylinder swap!                                                                                            ....

Safety first and all that.... :)

With that taken car of - and the ability to have another car to drive ion sunny days - I turned my attention to tearing down the IH:

Which brings us to a couple of weekends worth of work - and our next post.....

The fenders are held on with a variety of fasteners, including Phillips machined-screws, large panel bolts and various other fastener types...

The radiator is like new, the core having never been hit by so much as a rock...

Some of the only perforated rust was on the inner fender - under the side-hold hood hinge:

The bolts on the spare tire carrier required some fiery persuasion - which I know should not be attempted in shorts....

But do I ever listen to myself?
